This time, I came to Bao'an, Shenzhen to participate in an international exhibition. I specifically chose Bay Area ICC International Hotel Shenzhen, which is adjacent to the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. Originally, I was only looking for its core advantage of being close to the exhibition hall. After staying for three nights, I realized that this high-end hotel by the seaside completely broke away from the rush of hotels around the exhibition. It blended the sea breeze of Bao'an Binhai New City with the perfect service, becoming the most comfortable destination for this trip.
Taking Metro Line 20 from Shenzhen North Station takes 40 minutes directly to Exhibition South Station and a 5-minute walk to the hotel, completely avoiding the frustrating experience of "taking a taxi for half an hour and queuing for an hour" around Bao'an Exhibition. As soon as I dragged my suitcase to the door, the doorman came up to help me carry my luggage. When checking in, the front desk handed me a refreshing cup of Shenzhen style Maogen bamboo cane water, and the sweet and refreshing feeling instantly dissipated the heat of rushing all the way. Upon learning that I was going to wake up early the next day to set up the exhibition at the museum, she specially arranged a high floor south facing sea view room type for me. She also kindly reminded me that the hotel has a free exclusive shuttle bus directly to the exhibition center, which starts rolling out at 7am without having to struggle to find a shuttle bus at the entrance of the exhibition hall.
The moment when I opened the door, I was struck by the vision: the panoramic french window of the room was facing the Lingdingyang Bay at the mouth of the the Pearl River, and the continuous coastal green corridors were spread along the coastline. At sunset, the orange red sunset clouds were spread on the sea, and the lights of the remote deep and middle passages were slowly lit up, completely without the depression of the hotels around the exhibition. The layout of the room exudes a modern coastal elegance, with light blue soft furnishings paired with warm wooden furniture. There are no flashy internet celebrity decorations, and the bedding is a dry and skin friendly cotton and linen texture. As someone who loves beds all year round, I slept all night on my first bed, completely avoiding the insomnia of a strange city.
What surprised me the most was its location advantage. Within a 10 minute walk, I could reach Bao'an Binhai Cultural Park. In the evening after finishing the exhibition, I took a two-hour walk to the beach without having to cross half of Shenzhen to catch up. I could enjoy the salty sea breeze and watch the "Bay Area Light" Ferris wheel light up, and walk back to the hotel leisurely. It only takes 20 minutes to drive to the seaside countryside in Shajing, and the hotel concierge can also help book exclusive access to nearby coastal attractions without having to queue up. Local Cantonese restaurants in the surrounding area can be reached within a 5-minute walk, so there is no need to run back to the city to find old brands. You can enjoy authentic Shajing oysters and Gongming roasted geese.
There are all thoughtful surprises in the details: I ran around the exhibition hall all day during the day, and when I came back, I found that the room service had already helped me clean the dusty shoes at the entrance, even removing the fine sand on the soles of the shoes; I casually mentioned that the boxed meals in the exhibition hall were too greasy. The next day, when I returned to my room, I saw a small plate of free chilled sugar water horse hooves on the table, with a note next to it saying "Relieve greasiness and moisten the throat"; After changing the exhibition materials late at night, you can go downstairs, and the front desk can also provide free hand made Cantonese Wonton noodles. The hot soup will help you get rid of the fatigue until the early morning.
On the day of check-out, I sat at the seaside observation deck of the hotel for half an hour. The sea breeze blew through the gaps of the green plants, and all I could hear was the sound of waves in the distance. I had no idea that the surrounding area was a bustling exhibition venue. Compared to the bustling high-end hotels in the urban area of Shenzhen, the most touching aspect of Bay Area ICC International Hotel Shenzhen is that it hides the relaxed feeling of the seaside in every detail, allowing you to have a leisurely and comfortable time even in a busy exhibition schedule. Next time I come to Bao'an to participate in the exhibition, I will definitely return here.Show more
